Where do you see yourself at the end of the year?
5 years from now?
10 Years?
It’s ok if you don’t have a clear vision of where you
want to be, most people don’t. Some people take a
lifetime to figure out their dreams while others
discover them during childhood. However, if you can
figure out what your dream is, you can learn to make
every day filled with purpose and challenge.
“Why would I want my days full of challenge?” you
ask.
Because, the feeling of accomplishment is one of the
greatest feelings a person can have. Remember
when you beat the competition out of that big sale?
How great was that!! Remember actually keeping your
new years resolution? Or finally kicking the smoking
habit?
How great would it be to have the feeling of
accomplishment everyday for achieving your goals?
“Goals? I heard about those once,” you
moan.
If you have goals to accomplish everyday, you will be
jumping at the opportunity to take on the challenges
that await you. The great thing about goals is that you
get to set them yourself. And once you reach them you
get to celebrate!
How do you get started?
This is where discovering your dream is important.
Once you have established your dream, getting there
is like reading a road map. You find the place you
want to travel to, your dream, and you follow the road
back to where you are starting from.
Now all that is left is to break up the road to your
dream into “pit stops”. Start with the biggest goals you
must reach to attain your dream and break those
down into smaller goals. Keep going until you
discover the weekly activities you need to accomplish
that will help you reach those big goals. The key is to
have goals to accomplish every week.
“But I always forget my goals during the busy work
week,” you protest.
That’s easy. Write down the goals for the day or week
on a post it note before you go to bed at night and
attach it to your cell phone. I fold mine to fit in the
middle of my flip phone so that when I open it to use it,
the list falls out. Every time your phone rings, or you
call someone, you will be reminded of what you
should be doing instead of surfing the
internet.
Be sure to fill your day with challenging work and
goals to reach. It will make everyday fun and
productive. Then when you reach you goal, visions,
and dreams, the result will make your life more
satisfying.
Be sure to celebrate every goal you accomplish. Then,
after you reach your dream, make sure you establish a
new one and begin mapping out new plans. Don’t let
up!!

Hydro-Guard Automatic Flushing
Valves
Automatic flushing valves help municipalities by
providing a great alternative to manually flushing water
lines. These systems can be set up to automatically
flush out lines reducing the labor force needed to
accomplish this task.
These valves also allow you to flush lines at any time
making it more convenient for customers and allowing
the city to maintain a more consistent flushing
schedule.
Hydro-Guard units can be easily installed by the
municipality’s current workforce and can save up to
80% in water usage over conventional methods of
flushing. For more information, please email me or
visit the website below.
